a Polish global hit

Created by Andrzej Sapkowski in the 1980s, The Witcher follows Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter in a dark, Slavic-inspired world. The CD Projekt Red game series (from Warsaw) brought the saga to millions worldwide, especially The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, hailed as one of the best RPGs ever. The franchise expanded further with a Netflix series.
